Precautions For The Use Of FIBCS

Many customers will report some problems in the use of FIBCs, such as damage to the substrate, damage to the suspenders, fried lines of the belt, etc… Ben will fall!

Why is that? Is it because the quality of FIBC is too poor? Or is there something wrong with the way it is used?

The quality of FIBC bags/bulk bags varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, so I won’t explain too much here. But how to use FIBCs, as a company that has worked hard in the industry for 19 years, Changfeng will give some ways to help everyone use FIBCs better and more conveniently.

Before loading, the FIBC is usually suspended by a lifting device, the bottom of the bag touches the ground or the pallet, and then the opening of the FIBC is opened, put into the charging cylinder and clamped to avoid dust or particles leaking out.

Start the filling machine to load the raw materials into the bag from the filling port, and the bag body needs to be straightened before entering the operation.

After filling, close the discharge port.

If the FIBC has a discharge port or other discharge parts, it should be checked whether it is fastened or closed before loading. The height of the filled FIBC should be 0.5~2 times the minimum side length (rectangular bottom) or bottom diameter (round bottom) at the bottom of the FIB, so that the FIBC is relatively stable when stacked.

Other factors that affect the stability of the container stacking are the flow characteristics of the loaded material, the space vacated in the bag body, and the air trapped in the bag. The stacking stability of the FIBC can be improved by shaking the FIBC during loading and squeezing the trapped air after loading.

When loading and unloading goods with a forklift, the pallet at the bottom of the forklift foot fork cargo is unloaded, and the top of the forklift cargo cannot be savagely dragged out by the two lifting lugs outside. In the absence of pallets, try to fork 4 lifting lugs and unload together. Prevent damage to the packaging bag due to uneven force on the goods.

FIBC is usually unloaded using gravity, but sometimes suction tubes are also used to discharge materials. When using gravity to discharge, the speed of discharge can be controlled by adjusting the size of the discharge opening.

One-time FIBCs can be easily cut the bottom of the bag to complete unloading, and cutting the bottom of disposable FIBCs requires a cutting knife with handles of appropriate length.

FIBCs with discharge openings should be safely hung and then untied by the operator at the discharge port. The operator must never stand underneath the FIB.

When loading and unloading, appropriate dust control measures should also be taken to avoid flying of loaded substances. If there is an environment where static electricity is harmful, corresponding measures should be taken.
